It’s All in the Numbers
The numbers on the Roulette wheel vary slightly in different variants of the game.
The traditional wheel had numbers ranging from 1 through to 36.
In France in 1842, the number zero was added to improve the house odds.
The Americans added a double zero to the Roulette wheel to give the house an even better edge.
A European wheel has odds of 2.7% and an American wheel of 5.26% - that’s quite a difference!
The hardest Roulette bet is on a single number – this is statistically very difficult to win. However, if you’re feeling lucky, a single number bet comes in at a very enticing 35-1.
